Welcome to the FINBIN graphics library. These graphics were created to summarize the financial and enterprise reports for Minnesota farms included in FINBIN from 1996 to 2001. They are based on the entire Minnesota FINBIN database, including over 2,500 farms from the Minnesota Farm Business Management Education Program and the Southeast and Southwest Minnesota Farm Business Management Associations. The Center for Farm Financial Management (CFFM), University of Minnesota, created these graphics to provide an overview of the financial well-being of Minnesota farms. CFFM makes no claim that these farms are “typical” or “average” for all farms in Minnesota. But, as one of the largest data-sets of accurate, detailed farm financial measures in the country, these charts give us a good picture of what is happening by type of farm, size of farm, and within producers of each commodity group.
