For the past six years, CFFM has partnered with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to gather benchmark information on organic producers. Robert Craven, Director for the Center for Farm Financial Management at the University of Minnesota, delivered his Producer Benchmarks talk at 2010 ABA North American Agricultural Lenders Conference on November 8, 2010 in Omaha.

The past several years we have seen unprecedented volatility in agricultural markets and inputs. We will take a look at trends in producer profitability, liquidity and solvency by type and size of farm. Who are the losers and winners and why? We will also take a look at trends in crop production and machinery costs. How do your customers measure up?
